Gill’s Career

Maggie Gill is the CEO and president of Memorial Health Medical Center. Her career with the firm started in 2004. She was appointed as a vice president. Her primary duty was overseeing the finances of the business. A year later, she was promoted to be the chief operating officer of the company.

Maggie was made the CEO of the enterprise in 2011. Senior vice presidents, vice presidents, and physician leaders would report to her from that moment. Some other duties she did were internal audits, Memorial Health University Physicians, government relations and physician relations. The pre-operative services, facilities management and Heart and Vascular instate also fall under her.

Just before she joined Memorial Health Medical Center, Maggie worked as the chief financial officer of Tenet South Florida Health System. During her time there, she received the Tenet Outstanding CFO award thrice. While working at Tenet, she served in three hospitals. These were the Palmetto General Hospital, Shore Medical Center, and Coral Gables Hospital.

Education

Maggie Gill studied at the distinguished Florida State University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree as one of the best students in her class. She then proceeded to Saint Leo University where she got a master’s degree in business administration. Gill did a course on strategic thinking and management at the Wharton School. In 2010, Kansas State University gave her a Ph.D. in behavioral science, and she even started teaching the course at the North Central College in 2013.

George Medical Society’s Annual Healthcare Heroes Awards

A little while back, the 16th Annual Healthcare Heroes Awards were announced. These awards belong to the George Medical Society, and they reward individuals who have shown desire and commitment in making sure that their communities’ health has been improved. Memorial Health Medical Center was nominated in six categories. These were community outreach, physical lifetime achievement, medical education, allied health professionals, and medical innovation. At the end of the day, Memorial Health Center and its workers bagged a total of seven awards.

Maggie has done a wonderful job at Memorial Health Medical Center.
